These are brackets to replace the often faded and broken break-away side-mirror brackets for 1984-1996 Cherokee and Comanches. These are printed in ASA, which is a UV resistant ABS. Meaning they will not fade, they will survive in 100c or 220f heat, they are flexible to allow the mirror to clip in and out many times while remaining stiff enough to hold the mirror in place on the highway with all terrain tires.
The brackets are slotted to allow you to install them without removing the door panel and mirror, just bend it back and slide it on.
I have had these on my XJ for multiple years without issue, so I am confident that this is the right material for the task.
